Geo/Site Blocking

Content Geo Blocking 1 Intented to restrict the access to the content by country.

This feature allows you to specify, either globally or per Clip, "white lists" or "black lists" of the countries where the videos are allowed (or not) to play.

Please note that the country detection depends on the Geo-IP PHP extension or on a third party "GeoIP" service (the extension allows you to configure this). In the case of the Geo-IP service, it must support requests using GET and return the response in JSON format.

Site Blocking for the video player. Intended to prevent your WebTV's video player to playback videos when embedded into non-authorized websites.

This feature allows you to specify which domains can embed your WebTV's video player. It is useful when you just want to allow the embedding of your WebTV's video player on certain, selected, Websites (domains): When the video player is embedded on a Website (domain) which is not in the allow list it will not playback the videos.

1 Since WS.WebTV Professional 2.0 - Note that GeoIP services rely on the IP address information for determining the country of the users, in this regard, the Geo Blocking extension won't prevent users from "fooling" the system or "bypassing" the geographical restrictions if they are using a VPN or proxy server to access the Internet and visit the WebTV. Additionally, please note that "GeoIP" service are not 100% accurate and, some times, the country of the users may be incorrectly detected by them.
